Gold Coast - Beautiful Drives,Blue Sky, The Best Pub

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all doing great!
I am extremely excited to start the journey of blogging about my life and the world as I see it with this little piece.Do ignore the slightly dodgy and amateurish bits in my very first blog. So here it goes-
Australia is known to be a haven for beach lovers and our visit to Gold Coast, the last weekend was another brick in the wall of evidence! Gold coast, located in Queensland is known not just for its spectacular beaches but also for the vibrant lifestyle and is the hotspot of “Fun and Frolic” which made it the perfect place for a weekend road trip!
We drove down from Sydney which was a long but a beautiful 9 hour drive. We sang-drove-laughed(read: drank) our way to our destination. The added benefit was the scenic view of the blue sky and green pastures along the way. We stopped at beautiful places like Newcastle along the way(off the way, actually, when we managed to get lost despite the GPS *sighs*).We were absolutely amazed by the small-townesque charm that these places possessed.
One of the best nights was at a local pub called Avenue which is a quintessential Australian pub with a twist, located in the heart of Surfers Paradise. It was absolutely by chance that we were walking past the pub to our car and we heard a lovely live version of the chartbuster by Fun- Some Nights. Being the lovers of live music that we are- we absolutely HAD to run straight in and boy- what a perfect decision that was!
The decor was old school - wooden and the place had a 80’s cabin vibe to it- right up my alley. There were both indoor and outdoor seating options but we chose to sit inside to enjoy the music. The people that came in were fun and great to speak to.Its a brilliant place to make some aussie friends!
We had a night full of fun, music and loads and loads of dancing to the fun pop numbers like “I knew you were trouble” which you don’t find in your typical clubs.Wish we could have a version of this place back here in Sydney!
This was just one of the crazy days we spent in gold coast- there are a lot more to come!
Here are a few pictures from the drive-
The GPS that helped us lose our track a million times-

The blue skies that never fail to captivate me-

And to end it all- *drumrolls* yet another infamous #selfie
*sings*
Can you guys help me pick a filter? I don't know if I should go with XX Pro or Valencia I wanna look tan, What should my caption be?
Let me take a little #selfie!!  :-D
